• Sree Rama Polytechnic, St. Thomas College and CET – Champions for CCA Cup 2010 [+ Enlarge Picture] UAE:The 7th CCA Cup Intercollegiate Alumni Badminton Championship, organized by the Catholicate College Alumni UAE Chapter was won by Sree Rama Polytechnic, Triprayar, represented by Mr. Shibil & Rohit in the Men’s Doubles Stream. St. Thomas College Kozhencheri represented by Mr. James Varughese and Ms. Seeta in the Mixed doubles Stream and College of Engineering, Thiruvanantapuram represented by Mr. Abdul Latheef and Mr. A M Nizar in the Veterans Doubles Stream respectively. When St. Thomas College Kozhencheri became the Winner of Mixed Doubles, their own teams become the 1st runner up in the means Doubles represented by Rakesh and Mercy Mathew and Veterans Doubles represented by Alex Attappalli and Mr. Madhu. SB College Changanacherry represented by Mr. Vivek and Monoj and baselius College Kottayam represented by George Joseph and Reji Kurian, were the 2nd Runner up in the men’s doubles and Veterana Double Respectively. A total of 47 teams from 25 Colleges participated in the tournament. A Glittering Prize Giving Ceremony was held immediately after the finals in which distinguish personalities such as Ex MLA Sobhana George, Joy Mathew of Indian Media Forum, Praveen Kumar, President of Federation of Kerala College Alumni (FEKCA), Sindhu Biju from Hit FM were attended. CCA Presdent Mr. Abraham V G, CCA Patron T G Mathew, CCA Secretary Abraham Goerge, Tournament Convener Saji David, FEKCA Joint Secretary Biju Abraham and other officials of the CCA also attended the prize giving ceremony.
